Pictures of the start of my new layout. These pictures show the construction of the benchwork. The next section will show the tracks being placed on the benchwork. That proved to be an easier task than I had anticipated. The layout was designed by Zeke Sampson and the benchwork modules were built by Barry Kreisgman. Barry and I built the layout using the modules he constructed. The planned configuration was altered in several ways by me resulting in a more versaticle track configuration. The next series of pictures shows the tracks being placed on the layout.

Revised:

Pictures of the track installation. I used only C track. The track configurations were different in many ways from the design by Zeke Sampson. As I laid the track I realized that I had more space and could add a loop on the top level so instead of only one loop, as designed, I installed two loops thus increasing the versatility of the layout. I used various lengths of C track and several radii to make everything fit. The small C track pieces, especially the smallest curved track, really helped make it all come together. I feared that I would have a very hard time with the installation but my fears were totally unfounded. I really enjoyed the installation of the track when I realized how much I could do with this "much smaller" layout.

Revised:

Pictures of the my layout with buildings and trees added but no bridges and signals. They came later. The next series of pictures shows the addition of the bridges and signals and other accessories
