and Grades:
There will be a quiz following each chapter.  The grade for this course is either “S” (satisfactory) or “U” (unsatisfactory).  At the end of the course you will have up to two chances to pass the exit exam.   A passing grade is required on the exit exam to receive an “S” for course.  You are allowed up to 3 absences without penalty:

 0, 1, 2 or 3 absences…..……………..…....2 chances to pass the exit exam*

4 or 5 absences……………………......…1 chance to pass the exit exam*

6 or more absences…...0 chances: a “U” for the course will automatically be given

* AND at least a 70% average on the chapter quizzes.
